CHI 96 Workshop Poster: HCI and the Web
As a way to disseminate the results of the
CHI 96 workshop HCI and the Web
to other participants at the conference, a poster was quickly
put together by Keith Instone
and displayed during the technical program. The poster
consisted of the collection of HCI issues (on yellow sticky notes)
organized into groups, with sheets of paper giving details
of some of the topics. There was a mechanism for
attendees to annotate the poster with their own comments
and views, making it an interesting place to come back
and visit to see how it had changed.
Of course, the full effect of the poster cannot be achieved
online, but below is the content of various parts of the
poster. This is mainly just a dump of the word processor
files that Keith used to create the poster, so it is not
very polished.
Since this represents Keith's quickly-created view of the workshop right
afterwards, it is not as complete or comprehensive as his
report for the SIGCHI Bulletin.
