This photo history of SIGCHI events and personalities is meant to record our emerging discipline. The photos were selected from Ben Shneiderman's archives and from 21 contributors who gave us their photos of the CHI 2001 conference as part of the PhotoFinder project. The University of Maryland Human-Computer Interaction Lab provided the intellectual environment for developing the PhotoFinder software tools and for creating this web site.
