Student Volunteers

Many thanks to all our Student Volunteers for CSCW'98! The Student Volunteer program is one of the most important parts of every CSCW conference. The SVs take care of many essential tasks during the conference -- without you, many conference necessities wouldn't happen. In exchange for 20 hours of volunteer work, students receive a number of benefits, including complimentary conference registration and an invitation to the conference reception.

What should a Student Volunteer expect? We've outlined this in the The CSCW'98 SV Handbook. Also, all SVs are required to attend the training session on Saturday, November 14th at 2:00pm, currently scheduled in the Orcas Room. The training session will explain what is expected, introduce you to some of the conference chairs, and give you chance to ask questions.

Before you pack for the conference, you may want to check the weather forecast for Seattle. Be prepared for cool weather and rain this time of year. Umbrella and raincoat are a must!

We look forward to meeting you soon!
