Peopled Online Virtual Worlds:
A New Home for Cooperating Communities, a New Frontier for Interaction Design

This session will feature a demonstration of Internet-hosted virtual
worlds inhabited by communities of users represented as avatars. These
environments feature cityscapes and other environments built by some of the
estimated quarter million users. The panel which follows will address the
challenges the opportunities posed by this new medium for cooperating
communities and interaction design.
