Hotel Reservations

Call or fax the hotels directly to make your reservations. Be sure to identify yourself as attending ACM CSCW 96.

The main conference hotel is the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Our special rate at the Hyatt is $130 single or double occupancy. We also have a small block of rooms at the Howard Johnson Hotel, a short 10-minute walk from the Hyatt. The CSCW 96 rates at Howard Johnson's are $99, single; $109, double; $119, triple; and $129, quad. All rates are subject to prevailing state and local taxes.

In order to receive the CSCW 96 conference hotel room rate, reservations must be made no later than October 15, 1996.

Reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or check deposit for arrival after 6 p.m. Reservations made without a deposit are not guaranteed past 6 p.m. Deposits will be refunded if reservations are cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival date.

Hotel Check-In/Check-Out

The check-in time at conference hotels is 4:00 p.m. Hyatt room assignments prior to that time are on a "space availability" basis only. The hotel's check-out time is 12:00 noon. Any attendees staying in their rooms beyond check-out time without Hyatt authorization will be charded for an addition room night at the best available rate. Late check-out is provided based on availability through authorization from the Front Desk.

Early Departure Fees

In that Hyatt Regency Cambridge agrees to hold all contracted reservations from the day and date reserved until the actualization of CSCW 96, any guest who departs early and has not changed their reservations prior to or at check-in will be assessed a $25 early departure fee.
