Mailing Lists

There are two mailing lists we (the SV Co-Chairs) use to communicate SV matters.

Announcements List

We use the announcements list (chi98-sv-announce@acm.org) as our official channel to keep you informed of what is happening. Only we can send messages to this list. You do not need to subscribe to this list, we will take care of that if you register.

Discussion List

There is a second mailing list (chi98-sv-list@acm.org) which can be used for discussions, public questions, and whatever else you can think of. If you want to be on this list as well, then you will need to subscribe yourself. Send email to listserv@acm.org, and in the body of the message include subscribe chi98-sv-list Your Name.

We recommend that you subscribe to this list, but it is not mandatory. All important announcements will be sent through the announcements list. What you are likely to miss if you don't subscribe: finding roommates, sharing cabs from the airport, possible tours through local labs, useful links to explore before going, and last but not least, a sense of community with the people you will be sharing a conference with.
