Technology has changed the way we educate people: from grade school to
graduate school, from workplace training to home schooling. These lifelong
learning experiences have taken shape and form thanks to how we interact
with our emerging educational technologies. As we come to better understand
this evolving educational domain, the way we develop new human-computer
interfaces for the future may come to change as well.
At CHI 98, we look forward to examining this educational domain as a part of "Making the Impossible Possible." We hope to better understand this educational domain and the impact it has on our discipline of HCI, the technologies we create, the learning we can promote and the lives we can touch. We hope you will contribute to CHI 98 and support our understanding of this area.
