This author kit is intended to help authors of accepted CHI 98 submissions:

  1. prepare camera-ready copy for the conference publications
  2. request audio-visual and computing equipment
  3. submit copyright and permission forms
  4. give a quality presentation at CHI 98

Items 1, 2 and 3 must arrive at the Conference Office by 2 January 1998.

Camera-Ready Copy

Three camera-ready copies of each submission are needed for the conference publications. Follow the CHI Conference Publications Format. The comments from reviewers may be useful when revising the submission.

Papers should be up to 8 pages in length and will appear in the Conference Proceedings.

Other submissions will appear in the Conference Summary:

  • Workshop summaries: 1 page in length
  • Demonstrations, development consortium, doctoral consortium, invited speakers, panels, videos: 2 pages

Camera-ready copies must arrive at the Conference Office by 2 January 1998.

Audio-Visual and Computing Forms

The Audio-Visual Request Form and Computer Request Form are both required for papers, demonstrations, panels and invited speakers.

Authors of workshop, video, doctoral consortium, and development consortium submissions do not need to complete either form.

AV and computing forms must arrive at the Conference Office by 2 January 1998.

Copyright and Permission Forms

Authors of Papers must complete and return the ACM Copyright Form.

All other submissions (demonstrations, development consortium, doctoral consortium, invited speakers, panels, videos, workshops) must complete and return the ACM Permission and Release Form.

Video submissions must include a second form, the Video/Audio Permission Form. Note that ACM/SIGCHI does not recommend that authors use music in their video submissions. If music is included, all music license forms and fees are the author's responsibility.

Copyright and permissions forms must arrive at the Conference Office by 2 January 1998.
