Videos

Format

Video.

Videos should be between 2 and 8 minutes in length. Stricter acceptance criteria will be applied to videos exceeding 8 minutes in length. Beta, 3/4" U-matic, Video 8, Super-VHS formats will be accepted in the PAL, NTSC, or SECAM standards. VHS is NOT an acceptable format for submission.

Conference Companion Summary.

Prepare a two-page summary of the video, suitable for publication in the CHI 96 Conference Companion. The summary should contain video title and author(s), contact information, keywords, a 100-word abstract, and a text describing the video's content. This summary must be prepared in the Conference Proceedings format.

Both the video and the text summary should be designed as complementary but separate presentations that can be viewed or read independently of each other.

Submitters are strongly encouraged to refer to the Guide for Successful Video Submissions before preparing their video. This guide is available also in print from the Video Co-Chairs.

In order to assist submitters who are not familiar with video preparation the video chairs will organize a rapid review of written video scripts received by July 15, 1995. The script review will be done by experts who are not part of the video review committee. Only advice will be offered, which does not guarantee a better chance for the final video to be accepted.
