In The Hague

Climate
Holland has a mild maritime climate. The average temperature in the spring is 08ºC/47ºF, and the climate tends to be dry.

The Peace Palace
The Peace Palace, a gift from the American industrialist, Andrew Carnegie, houses the International Court of Justice, Permanent Court of Arbitration, Academy of International Law and a splendid library. It is decorated with gifts donated by countries all over the world.

Scheveningen
This fashionable seaside resort district of The Hague features a beach promenade, shopping arcades, and a casino.

Madurodam
Madurodam is the largest miniature city in the world. It features medieval town centers, churches, windmills, canals, and palaces. Buildings such as the Peace Palace, the Dam Palace, the Alkmaar cheese market, as well as mills, bulb fields and parts of the Delft-works have been reproduced.

Omniversum
Omniversum is a space theatre and digital planetarium seating 300 persons. Omniversum is the only digital planetarium in Europe to combine 70mm Omniversum films and the Digistar computer. It shows the galaxy in three dimensions, so that you can travel around a constellation, giving you the illusion of floating in space.

Gemeentemuseum Den Haag
19th and 20th century works of art are displayed as well as a unique collection of musical instruments and an extensive range of arts and crafts covering many centuries and different cultures.

Museum Beelden aan zee
Situated at the heart of the lively seaside resort of Scheveningen, Museum Beelden aan zee is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The museum is built around the former Von Wied Pavillion, located within 200 meters of the Kurhaus and the Scheveningen promenade. The Statues on the Sea Museum features a range of stone and bronze statues.

The Royal Cabinet of Paintings Mauritshuis
This museum is one of the most intimate museums in Europe and houses works by Rembrant, Vermeer, Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Jan van Goyen, and other masters.

Museon
The Museon shows a sequence of attractive, popular science exhibitions, which together constitute a fascinating expression of human activities and the history of our planet.

Amsterdam
Renowned for its fascinating architecture and a network of canals spanned by hundreds of bridges, Amsterdam is the home of world class museums, restaurants, and shopping.

Delft
The town of Delft is famous for its picturesque canals, charming houses, old facades and the Delft Blue pottery. Delft Blue pottery is an exclusive and fine china which is still being produced. A few pottery factories from the 17th century remain and are open to visitors.

Keukenhof
The greatest flower show on earth, Keukenhof features some 80 acres of winding paths, gurgling streams, gushing fountains, placid ponds, and more flowers than you have ever seen in one place at one time!
